Is HireTrades.UK a recruitment or employment agency?

No, we are neither a recruitment or employment agency, we are merely a platform that hosts various trades locally to people who are searching for a specific trade in their area, we do all the hard work in matching up local professionals with clients in need of repairs or other work related activities.

How do i join HireTrades.UK? and what's needed to vet me?

When signing up to HireTrades.UK we will ask you for some important key information to validate your online application which will include,

Provide Information about you and your business.

• (Optional) Your public liability insurance documents (with at least 6 months cover left).

​

• Your proof of current address eg: (Utility bill dated within 3 months).

​

Uploading a profile picture.

​

(Optional) 2 previous work references of any past jobs undertaken (Web links are accepted)

• Proof of identity (Passport / Drivers licence or other photo id)

​

• We will also ask for any specific qualifications or experiences you hold

​

Your employers liability insurance schedule / certificate (if you have any employees)

My application was declined! what to do next?

Under rare circumstances where we feel that the information you’ve disclosed isn’t up to the mark we may decline your application. We will notify you via email with a reason as to why you wasn’t successful. However you can then resubmit a new application with the required details for a further review. Please allow another 48hrs.

How long until my advert gets verified and goes live?

We have an online team working around the clock to sift through all applications. Once processed usually within a 48hr period from the time the application was submitted your advert will get verified and go live.

What is public liability and employers liability insurance? 

Public liability insurance protects you or your business incase of any personal injuries suffered or any damages to property made because of your business. it covers all legal costs or claims made against you or your company, you can apply to buy public liability insurance online here

Employer’s liability insurance protects businesses who have employee’s who falls ill or sustain's an injury due to working for your business, in which case you could be held liable for, as an employer it's essential and legally required to have this type of cover to hand with one or more employees as it safeguards your business incase of any claims made for compensation, and or any legal costs endured. you can purchase this type of cover online here
