Vetting all members 

Are all tradespeople vetted on this platform?

When various trades join HireTrades.UK they are thoroughly checked over and verified to meet our high standards of practice, all participants require proof of identification, proof of address and at least 6 months public liability insurance cover.  

Do all tradesmen hold qualifications to undertake my job?

Certain businesses will have verified their qualifications & accreditation’s when they signup to our website, which will be displayed on their profile under the background checks tab, if no proof has been submitted then the background checkbox will be left unchecked, we understand however not all businesses require qualifications, when past job experience's are also credible. 

What background checks are performed?

These are some of the checks that are carried out in the application process when joining HireTrades.UK

 Government issued photo id evidence 

​

• Proof of work address (either a utility bill or similar) 

​

• Proof of public liability insurance cover

​

(Optional) Proof of any qualifications / accreditation’s 

​

(Optional) 2 x past customer references 

​

• Previous work experience

​

• Agreed to our terms and conditions 

​
